25+ cities….including Baltimore, Memphis, New York City, Nashville, Washington DC….15,000 participants….all with one goal: To End Prostate Cancer
Florida Urology Physicians, along with ZERO, is proud to announce the first “Great Prostate Cancer Challenge” event on January 28th, 2012 , 8:00am at Lakes Park in Fort Myers. This event is the first 5K in all of southwest Florida benefiting ZERO.
ZERO- The Project to End Prostate Cancer is the nation’s leading prostate cancer organization providing education, free testing and advocacy for increased federal funds for life saving research. Zero is dedicated to creating Generation Zero, the first generation of men free from prostate cancer. For Zero, more than 82 cents on every dollar goes to benefit research, screening, awareness and advocacy activities.
A new case of prostate cancer is diagnosed every 2.5 minutes. Over 218,000 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer this year alone and 27,000 will die from the disease.
We are asking for your help to make this event a huge success. Lace up your sneakers, bring out your friends and family and join Florida Urology Physicians as we run/walk to find a cure for prostate cancer!
