September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. According to the American Cancer Society, 1 of 9 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer. In 2019 the America Cancer Society has already estimated 174,650 new cases.
Prostate cancer is a common cancer among American men. Early detection is important. One type of screening method for prostate cancer is a simple blood test called PSA, prostate specific antigen. Another screening process is a physical examination by your physician called a DRE, digital rectal exam.
