Florida Urologic Research Institute
Clinical research is research that either directly involves a particular person or group of people or uses materials from humans, such as their behavior or samples of their tissue, that can be linked to a particular living person. (The process of clinical research, however, protects personal data.) Potential participants need not be established patients within our practice.
Clinical research allows your doctor to offer important and emerging state of the art treament. Medications that may not be available for years are now an option for our patients. Patients are financially compensated for their involvement, and receive medications without charge.Florida Urology Physicians is pleased to host a Clinical Research Center at the Fort Myers office location.
We have several studies ongoing at any given time, and when enough patients have enrolled they become closed to new participants. If you are interested please ask your doctor for more information. Pam Battle, Clinical Research Coordinator, and Dr. Blitz, Pricipal Investigator are actively seeking patients for multiple trials and look forward to discussing the ground-breaking trials they are currently enrolling for.
